A Grant Elementary fifth grader succumbed to his injuries this afternoon after he jumped out of a second-story window in Dumont.
The 10-year-old was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries around 5 p.m., according to police.
Authorities could not confirm or comment if it was in fact an argument earlier today with another student had anything to do with why the child jumped.
The unidentified child fell approximately 25 feet.
