A search of several suspects is underway in the city's Central Ward for the suspects that fired a gun, injuring one person a short time ago.
Gunfire rang out at around 8:30 p.m. in the 40's block of Sayre Street sending police and EMS to the scene where a male victim was struck in the chest. The victim was taken to University hospital and is reported to be in serious condition.
A black male reportedly wearing a purple jacket was seen fleeing the area.
