Police units around Newark were alerted to be on the lookout for a vehicle that sped away from a traffic stop in Newark's West Ward early Sunday morning.
Officers pulled over an Audi A6 that was reported stolen out of Millburn at around 5 a.m. when the driver of the vehicle sped off when police attempted to investigate.
Police say the vehicle was occupied by three black male suspects who were last seen near Richelieu Place.
Authorities believe that the suspects are also wanted for armed robberies around the region.
