Police in Linden are on the search for the suspect who stole a car at a location in Linden Sunday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 1801 South wood Avenue to investigate reports of a vehicle theft before 6:20 p.m.
Police say upon arrival, they began to search for a Chevy Impala with a reported NJ license plate number "H48-KDM". Police say the vehicle was left running and unattended shortly before the suspect jumped in and sped away.
It is not clear if the police recovered the car at this time.
