There were no severe injuries reported after a car slammed into a building in a neighborhood in East Orange on Friday night.
Emergency responders rushed the intersection of North Clinton and Summit to investigate reports of a crash with possible injuries that occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m.
Rescue crews arrived and found the driver of the car out of the vehicle after they somehow lost control and smashed through the commercial storefront metal gate of a building.
Firefighters checked the vehicle for other trapped and injured occupants inside the car and structure that came back negative. Police say the building suffered severe damage.
There were no severe injuries reported and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
