Camden Man Found Shot Dead

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a homicide that occurred on Saturday night.

Authorities say Camden County police responded to several 9-1-1 calls of a man who had been shot in the area of the 2100 block of Jones Street in Camden at approximately 10:39 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located the victim, Charles White, 38, of Camden, laying on the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds authorities said.

EMS transported the victim to Cooper University Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead at approximately 11:11 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
