Camden Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson announced a Camden man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday.

Allen Reed, 41, is charged with felony murder in the death of 43-year-old Edwin Davis, of Camden.  He is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. on Friday before Superior Court Judge Edward J. McBride in courtroom 36 at the Camden County Hall of Justice.

Reed is accused of fatally shooting Davis on the 2500 block of Morgan Boulevard in Camden.

Camden County Police responded to the area at approximately 7:22 a.m. in reference to a report of a gunshot wound victim. Officers located the victim lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 7:32 a.m.

Reed was remanded to the Camden County Jail on $1,500,000 bail.
