NJ State Police officials are looking into a fatal pedestrian strike that occurred on the Garden State Parkway in Bergen County Sunday morning.
According to a statement released by officials, Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at 3:00 a.m. on the Garden State Parkway northbound mile marker 169.7, Woodcliff Lake Boro, Bergen County.
Officials say an Acura SUV driven by Mr. Brandon List, 28, out of New City, New York traveled in the left lane, and -for an unknown reason- pedestrian Mr. Samuel E Gottheim, 30, out of Santa Clara, California was walking in the left lane.
State Police officials say the Acura SUV struck the Gottheim resulting in fatal injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
