Thousands Taken in Jersey City Burglary

Police in Jersey City are investigating a burglary that occurred over the weekend at a residence in the city.

Authorities say officers responded to 110 River Drive South for a report of a burglary in progress.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers spoke with the 31-year-old victim who claims he noticed unusual charges to two of his debit cards on Saturday Feb. 3rd.

According to the victim, over the course of the next following days, he noticed jewelry and cash missing from his residence with an estimated total value of more than $9,000.

The the investigation remains active and ongoing.

There were no arrests reported by police.
