Police in Newark are looking into the motive behind a shooting that injured a male victim in South Ward this afternoon.
Authorities said at approximately 6 p.m., the victim entered University Hospital and told officials that a gunman fired rounds at him in the 100 block of Chadwick Avenue.
Police searched the area and found a crime scene and other evidence.
The suspect fled the scene and is at-large.
