Police in Linden are actively investigating a motive for a shooting that happened in a section of the city on Sunday night.
According to police, multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the 500 block of South Wood Avenue, sending police to the scene to investigating just before 11:13 p.m.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found multiple shell casings on the ground and after they searched the area, officers found that bullets struck a house at that location.
Police say no one inside the home was injured.
According to police, shooters arrived in the area and fired about a dozen rounds at unknown targets before fleeing the scene.
The suspects remain at-large.
