Browns Mills Man Killed in Manchester Crash

Manchester Township

Authorities have identified a 21-year-old Browns Mills man killed this morning in a four-car crash on Route 70.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Hilario Guillen, 21, of Browns Mills, may have been blinded by a strong glare from the sun.

Shortly after 7 a.m., Guillen traveling in a red 1998 Honda Civic, was heading eastbound when he swerved to avoid striking a black 2013 Honda Civic driven by Joshua Meeks of Medford, who was stopped waiting to make a turn onto Sam Pitts Road.

Guillen's vehicle rear-ended Meeks' car pushing it to the westbound lane of Route 70, where it was struck by a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by Michael Mott, 53, of Whiting.

Mott's car was then rear-ended by a fourth vehicle (a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu) driven by Sueanne Papaycik, 53, also of Whiting.

Guillen -who was not wearing his seatbelt - was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three others were transported to area hospitals with what police described as non life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
