Bronx Man Fired Shots in Direction of Woman, Child in Newark Police say

Police issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Tajh Washington, 28, of the Bronx, who they say is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by police, at approximately 1 p.m., police responded to the 800-block of South 19th Street on a call of shots fired. A man fired a weapon at a woman following a quarrel.

Police say the woman ran from the scene, along with another female victim and a child.

Units arrived at the scene observed property damage resulting from this incident, but no injuries were reported according to police.

"Detectives investigating this incident have identified Tajh Washington as a suspect and secured a warrant for his arrest on a charge of Aggravated Assault" according to Newark Police Director Anthony Ambrose.

Police described Washington as 5’9” tall, 175 lbs. and has a medium brown complexion, brown eyes with a bald head and beard.
