Police taped a section of a street while officers collected shell casings after a shots fired incident in the city’s Central Ward this afternoon.
It happened near Perry’s Funeral home on Mercer and Lincoln streets just before 3:15 p.m.
Residents sought cover, while shooters repeatedly fired, while students exited nearby high schools.
There were about a dozen bullets fired, but police reported no immediate severe injuries.
The suspects fled the scene and are at large.
