BREAKING: Two Victims Shot in Linden

Police are on the scene of a shooting with two victims injured at a location in Linden.

According to preliminary information, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of 1701 West Edgar Avenue at approximately 9:45 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found both victims suffering gunshot wounds in head and face.

EMS were requested in a rush for severe injuries.

There is a crime scene established and an investigation currently underway.

One person has reportedly been detained after a pursuit in Elizabeth.

Avoid the area for the investigation.

**LPD UPDATE: **

At approximately 9:50 a.m. this morning, Sunday, September 27, Officers responded to Route 1 at the intersection of Avenue C on reports of a shooting.

Officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle stopped in the northbound lanes. Both victims were treated on scene by Linden Fire Department personnel and transported to Newark University Hospital with serious injuries.

A suspect was arrested minutes later on Route 1 in Elizabeth.
