There is an active search for two suspects who fled the scene of a shooting that injured a male victim in the city’s South Ward this evening.
According to police, at approximately 6 p.m., shooters arrived in the vicinity of 20 Seymour and opened fire on a male that struck him in the abdomen.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the victims bleeding but conscious and alert.
Police say EMS rushed the unidentified male to University Hospital for treatment while police canvassed the area for additional victims.
The suspects were last observed speeding away from the scene eastbound on Madison Avenue in a black vehicle with temp tags.
No other victims were located.
