Police are on the scene of a shooting with a person suffering severe injuries in New Brunswick at this time.
Preliminary reports indicate that at approximately 8:30 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Joyce Kilmer Avenue and Comstock Street.
Several units arrived and found an unidentified person struck by gunfire at that location.
Emergency responders provided CPR on the unconscious and unresponsive person while police taped off the area to initiate the investigation.
The situation is active and ongoing to avoid the area.
No arrests were reported.
