Police are on the scene of a shooting with injuries in Newark’s South Ward at this time.
At approximately 2:02 p.m., gunfire rang out near 41 Evergreen prompting a police investigation.
When officers arrived on the scene, they reputedly found two gunshot victims inside a liquor store at that location.
Police taped off the area after finding several shell casings and other evidence.
EMS units are making their way to the scene to treat then transport the victim to University Hospital for treatment.
Police are also checking the area for a possible third victim at this time.
The suspect ran from the scene and is at large.
