Paterson firefighters extricated a trapped man from a vehicle after he crashed the car into the building in the city early Wednesday morning.
It happened at around 5:45 a.m. at 27–31 1st Avenue when the driver somehow lost control and slammed into a building causing him to become heavily trapped according to officials.
Rescue crews were able to get the driver out of the vehicle then hand him over to EMS who rushed him to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
A nearby ambulance company assisted in the extrication.
The official cause of the crash has yet to be determined by Paterson Police.
