Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 813 Broad Street at approximately 3:25 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a female victim suffering a gunshot wound inside a store.
Police say the woman is conscious and alert but is suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
EMS are on the scene preparing to transport the woman to University Hospital.
