A double shooting in a neighborhood Newark's West Ward has police and EMS on the scene at this time.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that occurred in the 300 block of South 20th Street when they arrived to find the victim suffering a gunshot wound shortly before 6:15 pm.
Officers canvassing the area found a second victim shot in the 300 block of South 19th Street minutes later.
Both victims were transported to University Hospital where their injuries are not reported as life threatening.
Police believe that both shootings are related.
There is a crime scene that span several blocks from South Orange Avenue. There are no reports of arrests.
Avoid the area for the investigation.
