BREAKING NEWARK NJ: Two Injured in Separate Newark Shootings

There is two confirmed injuries reported for two separate shots fired incidents that occurred in Newark neighborhoods this evening.

Police are on the search for a grey BMW with heavy tints that's occupied by suspects who fired rounds in the vicinity of 15th Avenue and South 9th street just before 7:50 p.m.

According to police, a male victim was struck by bullets at that location. His injuries are reportedly non-life threatening.

In a separate shooting, police responded to the 17th Avenue side of Central High School after receiving reports of a person shot at around 7:55 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the lower leg.

The victim told officers that while walking in the 40's block of Chaneyfield Lane, a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and began to fire in his direction. The victim entered inside Central High School, bleeding heavily, after running form the shooting scene.

Police found a crime scene in the vicinity of 48 Chaneyfield Lane.

Both shootings are under investigation at this time.

The suspects remain at-large.
