Thirty Year Newark Heart Transplant Doctor to Throw Out First Pitch at NY Yankees Game

Newark

A Newark doctor will take the pitching mound this evening and throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the NY Yankees Game this evening.

According to Newark Beth Israel , tonight at 6:45 p.m. Dr. Mark J. Zucker, Director Cardiothoracic Transplant at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for more than 30 years, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Yankees game.

Dr. Zucker will represent his winning team and pitch in honor of the Heart Failure Treatment and Transplant program at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.

The hospital completed their milestone 1,000th heart transplant on July 20, and only a few elite hospitals in the entire country can claim those stats. "This is a real homerun out of the park for the hospital".

"The good doctor has been practicing for a week now, and everyone at Newark Beth Israel is rooting for him, hoping he can bring some of that milestone magic to the field with him tonight".

Congratulations to Dr. Zucker and The Beth Israel Hospital from RLS Metro Breaking News!
