There are injuries reported for the victims of a shooting that occurred in a Newark South Ward neighborhood.
If you are out and about in the 900 block of Bergen Street -near Custer Avenue- you may want to avoid the area as police are on the scene of the shooting with at least two people injured at this time.
The victims’ injuries are not immediately reported as life threatening but there is a female and a male struck at that location according to reports.
The incident happened st approximately 7:45 p.m.
A grey vehicle was observed speeding away from the scene heading northbound on Bergen Street.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
