There are two crime scene established in Newark West Ward as police investigate a shooting that injured a male a short time ago.
According to preliminary reports, gunmen fired about a half dozen bullets in the direction of a male in the 90’s block of North Munn Street at approximately 4:20 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found evidence that a shooting occurred but no victim was located.
Police say they found that the victim was transported by vehicle to the 300 block of Sanford Avenue where officers found him suffering gunshot wounds.
EMS transported the unidentified male to University Hospital in serious but stable condition according to reports.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
There were no other injuries reported.
