There is an active investigation underway in Newark’s downtown as police are on the scene of shots fired at this time.
It happened in the vicinity of Broad and Market streets at approximately 4:15 p.m. where gunfire rang out according to reports.
Police searched the area by there are no injuries reported at this time.
