This breaking news is coming in from the single digit block of Edmonds Place which is just west of I-78 in the city's South Ward where police are on the scene investigating the motive behind a shooting that has a man injured at this time.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired at around 12:20 p.m. where they arrived to find a male suffering a gunshot wound to the torso.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital where the extent of his injuries are reported as severe at this time.
There is a active crime scene established and an investigation underway.
