Police are on the scene of shots fired with a male victim down at this time in the city's North Ward.
There are non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim who is struck in the groin and the buttocks in the 200 block of Garside Street.
The shooting happened at around 6:30 a.m. and had police in the area a short time later where they began to search for the suspect who was described as a black male wearing dark clothing.
The victim is en route to University Hospital at this time.
There is a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
