A car that struck a pedestrian in Newark’s North Ward this afternoon has police investigating.
According to a preliminary statement by police, the pedestrian was struck at 203 Parker Street at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Police say the unidentified male, in his early 20s, was transported to University for treatment where his injuries are serious.
Police set up a crime scene to investigate the official cause of the incident.
There were no arrests reported at this time.
