A woman and her baby are among three people shot after a gunman fired multiple rounds from a moving vehicle in Elizabeth Monday evening.
Police responded to reports of shots fired near 620 Salem Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a woman, her baby and a third unidentified person suffering gunshot wounds.
The baby is expected to recover but one of the other two victims is reportedly in critical condition.
The victims were rushed to area hospitals for treatment while police canvassed the scene for other possible gunshot victims.
Police say the suspects fled the scene and remain at large.
