Newark Police officers are on the scene of a shooting with a male victim struck multiple times in the city’s South Ward.
Police responded to several 911 calls reporting shots fired in the 200 block of Renner Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found a male struck in his torso by bullets. A female victim was injured, but police have not confirmed if bullets hit her.
The shooter fled the scene and remained at large.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
