Police are on the scene investigating a shooting incident with a male victim down in a section of the city’s South Ward at this time.
According to preliminary information from the scene, a ShotSpotter device activated in the 600 block of Clinton Avenue around 8:22 a.m.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering bullet wounds inside the Family Dollar store, according to police.
Officers are now searching a section of South 11th Street where the victim said the shooting took place.
Police say they found at least two shell casings near 874 South 11th and are currently searching the area for other possible victims.
The condition of the injured male has only been reported as serious but stable at this time.
Avoid the area for the active police investigation.
