Police are on the scene of a shooting with a juvenile injured in a section of Newark at this time.
Gunfire rang out in the area of 126 Boyd Street, prompting a police investigation around 1:35 p.m.
Officers arrived and found a teenaged boy suffering bullet wounds in his arm near Nat Turner Park.
Police say the juvenile was transported to University Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect did not remain at the scene, according to police.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
