There are life-threatening injuries reported for a male found shot in Jersey City this evening.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 20's block of Old Bergen Road where officers arrived to find the victim bleeding from the face after a gunman fired off shots in his direction at around 6:30 p.m.
EMS rushed the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where the victim's injuries are reported as 'grave' according to reports.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
**UPDATE 6:54 P.M** This is a confirmed homicide investigation. The suspect reportedly sped away from the scene in a white vehicle possible a Honda Accord with dark colored rims and a wing on the back.
Avoid the area for the investigation.
