Police are on the scene of a shooting inside an apartment complex in Newark's West Ward with a child shot at this time.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter device that detected over 20 shell casings at the Reservoir Apartment Complex located in the 300 block of South Orange Avenue around 7 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found a child around 6-years-old struck by gunfire and two adult males around 20-years-old suffering bullet wounds.
Police requested additional units after a large fight broke out while officers attempted to gain control of the scene.
The suspect fled the area and remains at large.
The condition of the victims have not been confirmed.
