Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway into a shots-fired incident that injured a male this evening in Elizabeth.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 544 East Jersey Street at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the head at that location.
The motive into the incident remains under investigation.
There were no other injuries immediately reported.
