Two people are being rushed to University Hospital in Newark after gunfire struck the victims in East Orange a short time ago.
Multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the area of Central Avenue and Halstead Street at around 1:30 p.m. sending a host of police officers to the scene where they found the victims shot at that location.
Police have a large crime scene established and an investigation underway,
The conditions of the victims are unknown at this time.
