Police are reporting a shooting with three victims injured in Newark's West Ward this evening.
According to police, the incident happened shortly before 6:25 p.m. in the 300 block of 14th Avenue near South 18th Street.
Police say shooters occupying two vehicles exchanged rapid and repeated gunfire that struck the innocent victims.
Two adult victims were transported to University Hospital in a taxi and a private vehicle. In contrast, the third victim -a child- suffered a bullet graze wound in the face and was transported by EMS to the hospital.
None of the injured appeared to suffer life-threatening wounds and the suspects remain at large.
