BREAKING: Belleville House Fire Under Investigation

Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire that ignited in a Belleville neighborhood Tuesday morning.

According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 90's block of Cedar Hill Avenue to investigate reports of a house fire at approximately 5:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found heavy fire coming from the second floor of a two-story wood-framed house at that location. Officials say they believe the blaze started in the garage.

Firefighters stretched several lines to battle the blaze, but as of 6:15 a.m., there were no reports of severe injuries. Mutual assistance from Nutley and Bloomfield are on the scene.

All the occupants made it out of the burning building safely, according to police.
