Police in Elizabeth are currently investigating an accident where a 15-year-old was struck this afternoon.
According to Elizabeth City Spokeswoman Kelly Martins, at approximately 1 p.m., there was an auto-pedestrian accident at North Broad Street and North Avenue, where a 15-year-old girl was being picked from school and was struck.
Spokeswoman Martins said that the vehicle that struck her remained at this scene. At this time, she is in critical condition, no further information is available.
Investigative units are on scene.
