Madison police are investigating the theft of a late-model BMW reported stolen Sunday afternoon.
According to Madison Police Department officials, officers responded to the area of Danforth Road and Park Avenue after receiving a report of a vehicle theft.
Upon arrival, police confirmed that a 2023 black BMW X3, displaying New Jersey registration X65-VAF, had been taken.
Authorities said the vehicle was stolen without keys by an unknown suspect sometime after 2 p.m.
An Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) later recorded a hit on the vehicle at approximately 5:30 p.m., indicating it was still in the area at that time.
No arrests have been announced, and police have not released a description of any suspects.
