Bloomfield Police Investigate Spate of Burglaries; Suspects Apprehended

In an ongoing effort to combat burglaries and attempted burglaries in the township, Bloomfield police are stepping up their investigative endeavors.

In a recent incident, Mr. Carlos Perez, 28, of East Orange, and Ms. Amanda Soto, 34, of Newark, came under police scrutiny in late September.

Officers responded to a report of a Burglary into Auto in the area of Lexington Avenue and Parkway West.

According to Bloomfield Police, a vigilant resident spotted a male and female suspect checking the door handles of his vehicle and subsequently witnessed the female seated in his passenger seat.

Acting swiftly, officers canvassed the area and successfully located the two suspects, matching the description provided by the resident.

To confirm their identities, Bloomfield Police said a show-up identification procedure was conducted, ultimately leading to the apprehension of both suspects.

They were subsequently transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to undergo further processing in accordance with the law.

The Bloomfield Police Department continues to urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly.

With ongoing investigations, local authorities said they aim to maintain safety and security within the community.
