An arrest has been made in the investigation of two separate package thefts in Bloomfield.
According to authorities, the suspect stole approximately $825 worth of merchandise packages from victims’ porches back in February and last week.
Police say thanks to surveillance footage obtained from the victims’ and their neighbors’, police in East Orange were able to identify the suspect as 51-year-old Ronald Allen, of East Orange.
“With the name and address of our suspect, Detective Frank Falco and Lieutenant Michael Sisco waited for the suspect to leave his residence, and then made an arrest on Thursday evening,” said Director of Public Safety Samuel DeMaio.
Authorities charged Allen with two counts of theft and issued him a criminal summons.
