Bloomfield Man Arrested for Drug Possession in Paramus

Bergen County Prosecutor authorities have announced the arrest of **Mr. Jason D. Nguyen 39, of Blomfield**.

According to authorities, the arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor=s Office, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, he Hackensack Police Department, the Upper Saddle River Police Department, the Paramus Police Department, the Bloomfield Police Department, and the Emerson Police Department.

Police said a narcotics investigation revealed that **Mr. Nguyen** involvement in the distribution of controlled dangerous substances.

During this investigation, **Mr. Nguyen** distributed marijuana to a Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office detective who was operating in an undercover capacity police said.

On Wednesday, July 12, 2017, law enforcement personnel executed a search warrant on Mr. Nguyen’s vehicle and residence, where they allegedly found five pounds of marijuana.

Police seized drug paraphernalia including a vacuum sealer and digital scale, items consistent with the packaging of marijuana for distribution purposes, were located and seized at the residence.

The estimated street value of the suspected controlled dangerous substances seized on this date is $25,000 authorities said.

Authorities charged Mr. Nguyen with one count of Distribution of Marijuana, a Third Degree Crime; Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, a Second Degree Crime.

These charges lodged against **Mr. Nguyen** are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
