Jersey City Police alerted hospitals in the region to look for potential walk-in gunshot victims from an early morning shots-fired incident in the city.
Police said gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Central and Newark avenues prompting a police investigation in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found several shell casings and blood evidence at the scene.
No victims were found after officers canvassed the scene.
The suspects fled the area and is at large.
