A high-speed car pursuit of suspects wanted for a burglary that began in Bergen County ended in East Orange early Sunday morning.
According to reports, police in the Woodcliff Lakes/Hillsdale section of the county were notified of two vehicles in the area attempting to break into cars shortly before 3:20 a.m.
Police caught up with the suspected cars - a white and black BMW's- then attempted to pull the cars over.
The suspects refused to comply and led officers on a pursuit that touched off on the southbound lanes on NJ-17 then to the Garden State Parkway south according to reports.
Police say the suspects topped speeds of about 100 miles per hour until they reached the East Orange exit, where officers lost the cars near North Maple Avenue.
There were no injuries reported.
