Authorities in Bergen County have confirmed the arrest of Mr. Humberto Duenas, a 61-year-old resident of Ridgefield Park, on serious charges, including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangerment of a minor.

According to Prosecutor Mark Musella, on July 11, 2023, the Special Victims Unit of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office was informed about an alleged sexual assault on a child under thirteen in Ridgefield Park, reported to have occurred multiple times.

The following day, on July 12, Prosecutor Musella said his office received more distressing news. An additional victim, also under thirteen, had allegedly been sexually assaulted numerous times by Duenas, Ridgefield Park.

The persistent investigation led to the apprehension of Duenas on July 7 in Paramus. Prosecutor Musella said he faces two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault,lt among other charges.

After his arrest, Duenas was sent to the Bergen County Jail after his arrest to await his initial court appearance in the Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

Prosecutor Musella reminds the public that these charges are only accusations at this point.
