A 27-year-old Bayonne man was arrested and charged him with ten counts of attempted burglary and other offenses Monday morning.
According to authorities, area residents contacted police yesterday at approximately 12:45 a.m. after they saw a man - later identified as Medhat M. Saad - checking door handles of parked cars.
Officials say when police responded they found Saad and ultimately found him in possession of a black object protruding from his jacket pocket, heroin, various loose prescription medications (not prescribed to Saad), marijuana, drug paraphernalia and various burglar tools.
Police charged him with attempted burglary counts, unlawful possession of a weapon, burglary tools and drug offenses that include drug possession with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school.
