Authorities Seek Sex Offender Who Escapes Police Custody in Cumberland County

Authorities in Cumberland County are searching for a 25-year-old Caesar Lockley, a sex offender, who escaped police custody this morning.

Lockley was arrested after he failed to appear to a sentencing on March 15. The sentencing was as s result of failing to notify authorities of a change of address as required by Megan's Law.

In 2007, Lockley was charged with endangering the welfare after inappropriately touching a boy.

Lockley, who is said to have been handcuffed, escaped sometime around 10:30 a.m. from the area of Route 49 and Copin Drive.

Authorities have set up a 10-mile radius from the escape location and haves notified schools in the area. 

Lockley is described as a Hispanic man, medium to dark complexion, 5-foot-7-inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and black pants.
