Authorities Seek Male Suspect In Connection to Newark Business Burglary

Newark authorities request the public’s help in identifying a male suspect in connection with a business burglary on Monday, December 12.

According to Newark Police, officers responded to a business located in the 700 block of South 15th Street on a call of a burglary that occurred between midnight and 12:40 a.m.

“Police say responding officers viewed on the business’ surveillance cameras that a male suspect reversed a white box truck into the gate of the building, breaking it open.

The driver then left, returning 20 minutes later, accompanied by a Toyota Camry.

According to officials, the suspect entered the business and stole six or seven vehicle scanners and two keys.

Officials say detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect, described as wearing a jacket, jeans, and a ski mask.

The box truck used by the suspect has graffiti on the passenger side.
